Aeromexico is the flag carrier for Mexico, flying domestic routes and international routes to Asia, Europe and North and South America. It is a member of the sky team alliance. It has updated its baggage policies for 2023.Increasing baggage fees on most routes.

So if you are travelling in Aeromexico airline you should know about the baggage policy before the booking of your flight it saves you money and you would not be required to pay an additional fee.

If you travel on the Aeromexico Airlines economy flight, business flight or premium economy flight you are allowed to bring one carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 8 kg and a maximum size of 55 × 40× 23cm.

And the following item may be carried free of charge-

Umbrella and walking stick

A handbag

A camera

All carry-on baggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. You must be able to lift the carry-on into the overhead storage without assistance.

Aeromexico airlines check-in Baggage allowance-

According to Aeromexico airline checked baggage policy, all fares include a free baggage allowance, except the economy light fare. However the free baggage allowance to which is entitled the passenger is governed by the baggage item concept. This means that the passenger can check a specified number of baggage items free of charge as their baggage allowance. And this number is defined by the travel class. The travel class also set the maximum weight allowed per piece but no piece of baggage exceeds 32 kg.

Note -  Aeromexico airlines baggage policy allows every passenger to carry one personal item free of charge. Which may contain a laptop bag, purse and briefcase.  

Aeromexico Airlines checked baggage size dimensions and weight limits  

• A single piece of checked baggage weight should not be more than 32kg
• The size does not cross the limit of 22.9*35.6*55.9 cm (9*14*22 inches) including the wheels and handles.
• The carry-on baggage must be a fit for under the seat in front of you or the overhead bin.

For Personal item

• The size should not exceed the limit of 96.5 cm (40.6*38.1*17.8 cm) or 38 linear inches (16*15*7 inches).
• The personal item must fit under the seat in front of you.

Items that are not taken into account towards your carry-on allowance are –

• Assistive devices such as child restraint seats, wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, and crutches.
• A jacket
• Duty-free items
• Umbrella
• Diaper bag

There is one important thing to know about. Bulkhead seats in an aircraft do not consist of under-seat storage, hence, all carry-on baggage must be stowed in the overhead bin during landing and take-off.
